Sobering Indifference

As believers in Christ Jesus, we are to represent Him as an Ambassador representing His Kingdom, and The Word as the only Book that gives Hope and Life to this wicked generation.

As believers in Christ Jesus, we are to represent Him as an Ambassador representing His Kingdom, and The Word as the only Book that gives Hope and Life to this wicked generation.

There are various sorts of people whom we come across in our lives, who can drag us through all sorts of sinful behaviors that keep us bound to those sins, and to the people propagating them!  And then pass them along to our offspring — to the next generations….

Many people only scratch the surface in their spiritual lives, and are satisfied with that — but living with one foot in the world and one foot out, cannot exist!

Why?  Because there are no gray areas.  We must take our condition as a Church and Nation seriously.

“And to the angel of the Church of the Laodiceans write, these things say the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God: “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked—I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye-salve, that you may see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore, be zealous and repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”   Revelations 3:14-22 NKJV.

We should be alarmed, and it should show us that we ourselves are as slack as the Laodicean Church was.

Of all the Churches in The Book of Revelation, Jesus confronted the Laodicean Church as it was of special interest.

The Church of Laodicea seemingly had the goal to be able to say, “We did it ourselves and did it our way — and have no need of anything!”

As such, the city showed the inability to distinguish between material and spiritual prosperity.

A Church prospering materially and outwardly, can easily inflate their heads and fall into self-deception, that their outward prosperity is the measure of spiritual prosperity!

Thus it was they were confused with the City of God — and the City of man.

The Laodicean Church was the most deceived, as that place and people outwardly seemed good — when it was not the case.

And how many Churches today have fallen guilty to the same?

They were considered “good, godly people” — yet Jesus’ scathing words were a wake up call to Laodicea and the countless other Churches in history who followed their own paths.

Today, many Churches are considered to have “good, godly people”, but can we possibly hear the echoes in our very spirits today — and does it bring alarm or apathy?

The link between spiritual complacency and material blessing comes up time and time again.

This isn’t a new idea.  Jesus warned that material comfort would make it challenging to enter the Kingdom of God.

John Wesley, the English clergyman who founded the Methodists, made an interesting observation:

“I fear, wherever riches of increase, the essence of religion is decreased in the same proportion… as riches increase, so will pride, anger, and love of the world and all its branches.” — John Wesley

Laodicea — one of the wealthiest cities of that regiom during Roman times, was widely known for its banks, a medical school with a famous eye salve, and a textile industry famous for glossy black wool that was used for making tunics and cloaks.

The Church appears to have been as wealthy as the town and there’s no mention of persecution, or trouble with the Jewish population, or any conflict with heresy.

The city worshiped a moon God named Men, a lord of the underworld and the people counted on him for healing, safety, and prosperity.

Called ‘Lord of Two Horns’ by the Romans, he was often depicted riding a horse and carrying a scepter, crescent moon rising behind him like two horns, with a slain beast at his feet.

In A.D. 60, an earthquake leveled Laodicea (along with a lot of other places).  Laodicea refused to accept Roman financial assistance because they had enough money to go it on their own.  They were pretty proud of being rich enough to take care of themselves.

However, the city’s major weakness was lack of a decent water supply.  It was not hot, like the water from the hot springs of nearby Hierapolis; but it was not “cold” like the water at nearby Colossae.

Aqueducts brought water from these locations to Laodicea, and it was lukewarm and somewhat dirty by the time it arrived.  The pipes that have survived are coated with calcification and minerals, some to the point of blocking the water flow almost entirely.  (©Cambridge Bible for Schools and Colleges)

Jesus is trying to get us to see that the most dangerous trait to have as a Church — is  indifference  (being lukewarm).

The Laodiceans weren’t going through life hostile to Jesus — they just weren’t thinking about Jesus!

Jesus would spit out lukewarm water — and He promises to spit out such Christians.  They disgust him!

It’s a sobering image.  When you don’t think about Jesus, you don’t stay neutral.

The more comfortable we are in the world — the more it’s the world that shapes us.

After His blistering take down, in which nothing good is said about the Laodicean Church — Jesus says: “Behold, I stand at the door and knock.”  (Revelation 3:20)

In every other case, The LORD has noted both the good and the evil in The Church, and generally the good first.

However, here in Laodicea, He does nothing but find fault.  But He adds in effect, “Do not suppose from this that I do not love you!”    (©Cambridge Bible for Schools and Colleges)

What Needs Do You Meet?

Have you noticed lately after your prayer sessions with The LORD — that things have changed?

Have you noticed lately after your prayer sessions with The LORD — that things have changed?

Have you gone about your daily tasks, and various people react strangely to you for simply no good reason?

You don’t realize that there are more revealed in the Marketplace than you could ever have fathomed.

As we stir up our sensitivity and the gifts of God while in prayer and when we know others and each lays on hands to stir up the gifts and to combine strategies as each person is a part of the puzzle of clearer revelation.

When we Pray alone it is powerful but when we connect to the other place and the piece fits, those actions are so that we have a greater awareness of The LORD’s purpose for ourselves and others!

There is power in coming together like heart, mind, and Spirit!

We carry the precious cargo of The Holy Ghost, and people can suddenly react to you for no good reason, and it can appear as something good, but is it?

Devils are clever and have been around a long time studying human behavior.  The enemy can use the poorest of the poorest needs to distract you from your purpose and to bring confusion, division, and frustrations to lure you and fish you out of The LORD’s Purpose for you by stealing your time.

It is best if you have a Prayer Partner to ask The LORD what He wants you to do.

Jesus said the poor will always be with us.  The Holy Ghost knows the person and can see within the motives of their heart and flesh.  Just because there is a need doesn’t mean He wants you to fulfill it.

Because of the Word and the anointing in your life, your presence can provoke a reaction to action, and they can manifest evil spirits!

How would you like to know that when you meet the needs of the people that it causes you to miss God and get caught up in a so-called “ministry” when actually it is a demonic distraction plan to keep you off base?

“And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying: The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, these men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation. And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.”   Acts 16:16-18 KJV.

“Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of The LORD Jesus, saying, we adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth. And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so. And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded. And this was known to all the Jews and Greeks also dwelling at Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of The LORD Jesus was magnified.”   Acts 19:13-17 KJV.

Remember beloved, that The LORD wants us equipped and fine-tuned for the tasks at hand.

What is needed is a heavy dose of the Holy Ghost as we seek The LORD and Pray.

Think it not strange when people manifest strange things, and they want YOUR attention!

Remember their goal is to steal your time and to throw your purpose into distractions and frustrations to stop you in your path.

They do not fully understand their role and strongholds, but God does, and He will reveal it when you pray.

The devils fear a person who is anointed and can see them!

People always have needs, but is it God’s Will for you to meet the need?

Be not hasty and miss the way!  The poor you will always have with you.

We cannot possibly meet every need that comes our way, but when we pray and rightly discern, we are to do as The LORD leads and He supplies.

Amen?  Amen!

Strength Under Pressure

The LORD is gracious, compassionate and merciful, slow to anger and rich in His loving kindness and care for us.

The LORD is gracious, compassionate and merciful, slow to anger and rich in His loving kindness and care for us.

The LORD doesn’t treat us as our sins deserve or cause pay back for our iniquities and as far as the east is from the west He remembers our sins and transgressions no more.

“Behold, I have refined you, but not with silver; I have tested you in the furnace of affliction.”  Isaiah 48:10.

“Many have never surrendered to the process of the Refiner’s Fire.  It’s a place where total surrender is acquired under extreme heated pressure.

It is in the heat of the passion for Christ that you are pressured and pressed down to such a degree that you are conformed to My Will.

You are like a diamond in the rough.  You are predestined to be conformed to My Will as you surrender your soul and body ‘willingly’ in the furnace of affliction.

You wondered why such extreme trials, heat and deep pressure that when people see you or hear you they are perplexed and cannot understand it, so they blow you off.

There’s a reason why you have felt so alone even amid people, AND that everyone seems to be running the opposite way… Not many people run to the furnace of affliction,” says The LORD.

Diamonds are the hardest and most valuable of precious stones.  Diamonds were created and formed in the earth, a process that took millions or billions of years through the extreme pressures of the earth and temperatures of 1600C and the depth of 125 miles below the Earth’s surface.  The diamond is known for being used for hard cutting with other minerals and rendered adamant.

“Diamonds are known for their beauty.  In the hand of the master artisan the diamond is of very rare distinctions.  Diamonds are taken and made into something very beautiful that reflects light on many facets of the fire.

That is how you are, created to endure hardness, and great pressures and temperatures that were designed to form a hardness and unmovable faith to be displayed as something most beautiful,”  says The LORD.

“The sin of Judah is written with a pen of iron, and with the point of a diamond: it is graven upon the table of their heart, and upon the horns of your altars,”   Jeremiah 17:1.

“I have made your forehead like emery (diamond), harder than flint. Do not be afraid of them or be dismayed before them, though they are a rebellious house.”   Ezekiel 3:9.

“Tough times demand tough preparations.  Though the enemy comes in like a flood I shall lift up a standard against them.  You are that prepared standard, and I AM always triumphs over the enemy.

People have misunderstood and judged you and stood far off.  Yet they were perplexed, being motivated by fear because it was unfamiliar territory planned in advance, making an entrance into the earth on the road less traveled.

Yea, I have determined beforehand having predestined and formed you for just such times and I have ordained and knew you before time began.”

“For He chose us in Him before the foundations of the world to be holy and blameless in His presence. In love He predestined us for adoption as His sons through Jesus Christ, according to the good pleasure of His Will,” Ephesians 1:4-5

“Forerunners are often misunderstood for these are those who speak ahead to prepare the remnant and the earth for My coming,” says The LORD.

“Yet ye are unique and genuine living thy life as pure and holy before Me, yet the world and the captives of this world attempt to disregard and silence My Voice,”  says The LORD.

There are many prophecies that are yet to be fulfilled in this age and the age to come, long after the messenger’s death on the earth.

“For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.”   Matthew 5:18.

The Divine Crosswalk

As you have run out of all options, The LORD took you to the edge of all limitations and He has provided all your needs!

SEM-25-1-7

God just dropped a Word in my Spirit.

To those who have carried such a great weight that nearly bent you totally over…  and you have been pressed out but only God knew how much you could bear… God has set before you a Divine Crosswalk!

As you have run out of all options He took you to the edge of all limitations and He has provided all your needs.  He has so much more to reveal to you for the best is yet to come.

God knew who could stay and who had to go because of His great love and He honors you.

Those whom He removed were sliced off with His swift sword, not because they were bad — but for God’s Will and Purposes that He destined for you.

Not everyone can walk the path with you as He deals with each of our unique purposes.

When God opens a Door, we agree as He closes the Door behind us!

You counted the cost and picked up the cross to follow Him.  He has everything in His hand and has destined the perfect time at your “Divine Crosswalk.”  He has cut off every hindrance.

Some you see now and in your eyesight others will manifest at the appointed time of The LORD.

He used the weight we carried to press us to conform into his image, likeness, and fruits.

He allowed you to be pressed down and sometimes it felt like you were broken down and felt you could do no more, but God knows the timing of His Purposes.

In this timing, be still and know He is God, and He has got this.

We are pressed for growth and in dying to our flesh then we emerge more and more into his likeness..

Why? God gives us over to be as living testaments, epistles seen and read by all men.

Our death is victory!  Whether in our natural life or Spiritual life as we are eternal beings built up into our spiritual household with Jesus Christ is our chief cornerstone.

We will die in our natural life and if we are believers in Christ we step over into eternal life.  However, in our Spiritual life on earth, we must learn to die daily to our flesh to receive more of HIM to flow through us!

Living close to The LORD in this life is possible but the only way to be truly secure, fearless, faithful and committed is to go with the flow in the Holy Ghost.

We must allow and yield ourselves to the workings of the Holy Spirit to refine, and define us through troubles and the fire of all sorts of obstacles, hindrances, chaos, and tribulations!

When everyone is running from the fire, we run to the fire  While many will not yield to the instructions and training of The LORD, they run the wrong way in spiritual blindness and God’s fire will not benefit them.  The promotion that comes from God comes when we are tested under fire.

If you resist the testing of The LORD you will be stuck with no movement.  God meant for us to grow and to move forward with Him as a cloud by day and a fire by night!

Let us no longer rebel in the wilderness experiences we have had.

Why?  Because God is no respecter of persons, if the Israelites chose to rebel and traveled in circles around the mountain it can happen to us and keep us stuck!

In conclusion, when we go with the flow of the Holy Ghost we will be transformed into His likeness.

Doesn’t it thrill you to be like that goldfish in that tank of water?  And like that fish everything is illuminated.

We have nothing to hide because we want to be transparent and all they see is HIM.

Beloved, soon you will be moving forward and his desire is towards you and for His best for you.  When you learn how to die to the flesh, you could care less about other opinions or judgements, because we know God and his opinion is what counts. T

The best has yet to come…….

Here is an Interesting metaphor:

“When someone says “God brought you to a four way stop,” it means that you’ve reached a significant point in your life where you need to pause, carefully consider your options, and make a deliberate choice about which direction to go next, essentially requiring you to stop and reflect on your current path before moving forward, much like a physical four-way stop sign in traffic.”

Pause and Reflect:

The “stop” signifies a moment to pause and assess your current situation, evaluating your choices and priorities before making a decision.

Decision Point:

The “four ways” represent multiple potential paths or directions you could take in your life, requiring you to choose which one aligns best with God’s will.

Spiritual Guidance:

This is often seen as a time to seek guidance from God through prayer or introspection, asking for clarity on which path to choose.
