There’s a Time to Let Go!

Those who love The LORD with all their heart, have counted the cost, having picked up their cross to follow Him!

Those who love The LORD with all their heart, have counted the cost, having picked up their cross to follow Him.

The chasm has become much deeper and further apart yet one can see with greater clarity from a far distance those whom you labored over, investing your love, determination and time; choking back the tears and grief at the revelation of seeing the cost of their unbelief.

Troubled by the thoughts as to why a person who met perfect love, could possibly turn away knowingly and willingly in such a final stroke, as one who would sign a final testament note.

To finally comprehend and see the overwhelming revelation of their understanding, that God won’t go against free will and free choice.

He gives the right to choose to each of us.  Each one will stand before God facing the ramifications of influence and their rights and choices they made.

He is a God of Justice, Mercy, and Judgment and as a just God, He is slow to anger and rich in mercy.

However, no man, no matter how eloquent, no matter how compassionate, no matter how desperately determined to stand in the gap for others can only go so far.  God won’t violate freedom of choice.

“Behold therefore the kindness and severity of God,”   Romans 11:22 KJV.

Those who are mature, know how to weigh things in the balance of God’s Word.  For we know Him both as Lion and the Lamb, Grace and Union, Thy Rod and Thy Staff.

“So I pastured the flock marked for slaughter, particularly the oppressed of the flock.  Then I took two staffs and one “Grace” or Favor and the other “Union”, and I pastured the flock,”   Zechariah 11:7 NIV.

Free will and free choice trumps all interventions.  God will not intervene once that choice is made.

God gave us the gift of free will and free choice and God will not interfere by standing in the way of those God given choices.

If God will not take away free will and free choice, who are we to think we can make them choose?

Rizpah stood in the gap for her dead sons and desperately kept the buzzards away, but her sons were still dead.  There is a time to let go,  (2 Samuel 21:10)

“And the men turned their faces from thence, and went toward Sodom: but Abraham stood yet before The LORD.  And Abraham drew near, and said, Wilt thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked?  Peradventure there be fifty righteous within the city: wilt thou also destroy and not spare the place for the fifty righteous that are therein?  That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?”  Genesis 18:22-25 KJV.

Shall not the judge of the whole earth do right?

Job offered burnt offerings for each of his children to be sure that if his children violated, sinned, or cursed God in their hearts, that Job was motivated by fear by getting involved in making sure his adult children had been covered by sacrificing.  Job said, “The thing I greatly feared came upon me.”

There is a time to let go.  It isn’t easy, but we love dearly and have agonized over those who have clearly turned away from God, and it is hard, and often a process to totally release them into the hands of God.

A lot of times we get in the way of the hand of God seeking to work on those we love, and as long as we fight our battles, God cannot.

We cannot be responsible for others even those in our own lives and family that we labor over intensely.

Yes, we pray and labor intensely seeking God to forgive them, but there comes a time that it must come from within and it must be their decision.

It is agonizing to slowly watch those we have closely known, to choose to follow the wide way that leads to destruction.  There is a time to let go.

“And it was so, when the days of their feasting were gone about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all: for Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts. Thus did Job continually,”   Job 1:5 KJV.

“For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.I was not in safety, neither had I rest, neither was I quiet; yet trouble came,”   Job 3:25-26 KJV.

Gone With the Wind!

There is a process that must happen when the season and set time is fulfilled.

There is a process that must happen when the season and set time is fulfilled.

It happens that the restraints of our lives that had grown up all intertwined within, must come to the threshing floor.

The chaff and wheat must be winnowed as one.  For it is during this process of refinement that the transformations and the lessons are revealed.

The chaff is only the byproduct that is to be released once the maturation comes of time and season.

The process of changing begins with the chaff and its outward appearance.  Through the winnowing and being tossed up over and over with circumstances and you may feel completely out of control, but it is in this raw process that the releasing of the husk and all the byproducts are finally separate so that
the true grain may appear.

The stubborn chaff being tossed up into the air over and over is also felt by the true grain.  For in the time of separation what was intertwined must be a combined effort to separate and release what isn’t seemly and what is worthless.

The winnowing process separates the grain, stalk, and husk.  To winnow the grain, the pieces of the crop just threshed are thrown it up into the air.  The wind blew the light pieces of chaff while the grain, which was heavier, fell almost straight back down.

As the winnowing continues, the chaff blows and the wind sweeps it away to never been seen again.

By being the weightiness of the kernel of wheat we are thrown up in the process but the true grain will fall to the ground of the threshing floor.

“Simon, Simon, behold, Satan demanded to have you, that he might sift you like wheat, but I have prayed for you that your faith may not fail”   Luke 22:31-32.

The illustration was clear.  Just as wheat is winnowed and sifted in a sieve, Satan demanded to be able to pressure Peter until things surfaced in his life.

Jesus prayed for Peter that his faith would not fail and that no chaff would remain, as the true grain of Peter was revealed.

May we remember also that The LORD has prayed for us too, and that this process must happen for the revealing of the true grain, the true believer and those things that are unnecessary in our lives.

R&R: The Antidote for Advancement!

God knows what’s coming in this season and into the next.

God knows what’s coming in this season and into the next.

The LORD prepares us so well that as we spend time with Him in rest and rebuilding our reserves,

He refreshes our soul and body.  None of us can do it alone; as long as we have these human frames, we ALL have limitations.

Each part of the Body of Christ is just as important as the other.  None of us are on at 100% on 24/7, or 365 days of the year.

We all have seasons that bring change and there are times of training and growth that can be seen and experienced in this life, and then there are down times and hard times in battle, and then there are times of R&R — Rest and Recreation.

Years ago I use to have noise going on all the time, but I now relish silence after four plus decades.

This quiet and becoming quiet is quite a reward we learn more when we observe people who run their mouth all the time, sin is not lacking.

“And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you,”   1 Thessalonians 4:11 KJV.

There are the times and seasons of silence when it can feel like we aren’t in sync with the Holy Spirit or others that seem to be prospering in their season.

It is during these times and seasons that things like doubt, unbelief, insecurity, and fear come to the surface.

None of us are exempt from testing and trying times.  These are things that The LORD is skimming off the surface of our souls that surface during testing and trial.

Along each of our paths, somewhere along the line, there will be a season of time when our resolve in defense of our faith, will be severally tested in silence.

Personally, when I experience these tests, usually they happen prior to or after some mountain top experience.

I have learned that the majority of time that I live somewhere ‘in between and betwixt’ in real life experiences, when my faith is tested.

How many have had, or are having now hard, times that seemed to be never ending?

You describe it as going from one cycle to another with no breaks.  I like to call these times, “transitioning into position; to break forth into the new beginning” much like the description of transition labor when a woman is in the severest time of her pain in the labor and birthing process.

It is during these times of transition that I begin to feel within, “an agitating frustration.”  It is in these times that surface that bring the pain, feeling hopeless that I will ever overcome the limitations of my faith.

When things are painfully silent, and I seem all alone.  Am I am just existing?

I can look at others and measure myself against what they are doing, but when you are silent and nothing seems to be going on, it places the emphasis on self instead of the finished work of God.

Our entire lives are like a great journey, a story improvisation, the sky the limit as we face whatever may come.

When we get frustrated, often these times are designed to prove our faith when nothing seems to be happening.

When we are pressed, having negative feelings and silence can provoke us to react in the flesh. God knows about it all, but He wants us to know.  Conquering the flesh is a full-time job and it never ends.

We go thru real-life situations so that we can help those who go thru what we did.  Living is a challenge and it is a constant struggle.  From the time of conception till our last breath, life is a struggle.

Our total life isn’t all about signs, wonders and miracles, we are not always on the mountain top; yet we wish at times we could stay there and never leave it.

Many Christians are wrong when they don’t prepare new converts for the reality of the life as a Christian and to count the cost!

Serving Christ is no bed of roses!  However, this life is the most fulfilling, meaningful and exciting part of my life!  I love The LORD and no one else has that place in my heart!

This life from beginning till the end, is about how we live the life of Christ here on earth.  God is real and is looking for real people that will yield to His transitioning power by developing them through times and seasons, by transforming them into His divine nature.

We must grow and let God form within us as He heals and delivers us! That my friend, is struggle and transitional pain but it is so worth it!

I wouldn’t change a thing that I have experienced in God because it made me who I am today and I want more!

Craving The LORD is my portion and being addicted to Jesus is the ultimate experience on earth! No drug, alcohol, sexual, power, financial addiction, or any addiction can ever come close.

We are interdependent on the function of each part of the body of Christ.  Only God initiates movement and change.

I have found when things are on simmer and nothing seems to be happening, often decisions are made motivated by the fear of failure, doubt, or insecurity, instead of faith.

I wonder how often that we as the body of Christ attempt to press against the process and try to make things happen to prove ourselves.  Beloved, God is the prover and He makes room for His gifts.

Man can do mighty feats in their own power, but if the energy dies, what do you have left?

Exhausted flesh!  When God speaks, it is out of his great love and concern for us.

He knows how to prepare us and equip us.  He knows us so well; God also knows when it is ready and time to happen in season.

If we have put on Christ and have crucified (put to death the deeds of the flesh) So now we truly live and now our life is hid in Christ. We must always remember it is not by our might, or our own power, but by His Spirit working in and through us. We then work from a place of rest, recovery, renewal and restoration. It is The LORD that breaks all yokes and makes us ready for more.

The tower of Babel was a tower made by man, but God had to stop them.  He does the same with us when we are too far extended and feel, “I got to do this and keep up!”

We will fall with total exhaustion in our flesh if we don’t heed His Word.  Being legalistic and doing the drill will only further our exhaustion.

The remedy is to Rest in Him and rest your soul and body.

If you feel your being driven and overwhelmed please back off and talk with The LORD. God will give you his will in all this if you learn to wait on The LORD.

You feel you have to do this now or you will miss out!  All of the Rest is to prepare us for what is coming in the next season.  God is a very good Father and knows what is best for each of us.

We can get into things prematurely through excitement, being driven or trying to advance our own agenda, or others who are trying to advance their own agenda through us!

Surely, we can get into things and be human doings, instead of human beings, getting exhausted and not be ready to handle any of it.

If we try to advance in the kingdom without allowing The LORD to prepare us and make it happen, it can come in the form of judgment.  God will let us test our borders and we can either learn or not.

You realize that the enemy knows your condition and if you don’t rest in The LORD and wait when He tells you, the enemy will come with demons that know you are a novice, exhausted or rebellious and will attack you and all those you think you are helping.

We can avoid a lot of heartache by learning to just BE who we are and be at peace and rest in The LORD.

The LORD has been on me strong about RESTING in The LORD, and waiting patiently upon Him.  It is just as important to rest in The LORD as it is to be on the front line in battle.

When God releases us, there is freedom for we have waited for the Master to lead and guide us into all truth, and be made ready by his preparation.

When our heart is overwhelmed and we cannot see our way remember that God will give us a way of escape that we will be able to bear whatever comes.  You will be rested, ready, and recovered!

“For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.  Behold, we put bits in the horses’ mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn about their whole body.
Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor listeth.
Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!  And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.
For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind: but the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.
Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God.
Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.  Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter?
Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh.
Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.
But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.
This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.  For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.  And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace,”
James 3:2 KJV.

Being Taken for Granted?

There is nothing in my life that is more crucial and delightful than to please The LORD by obeying HIS WORD!

Beloved, oh how I love The LORD Jesus!  Oh, to sing and dance!  To study and seek HIS Face in prayer!

There is nothing in my life that is more crucial and delightful than to please The LORD by obeying HIS WORD!

The more I deny myself and remove myself from the cares of this life the more I want to please The LORD!  I love and care for The LORD and HIS beloved Sheep!

We have a personal responsibility with The LORD and we are held accountable for what we know is true.  When we sin and love the things of this world that grieve His heart, we will be accountable.

There is a great danger when we gradually move ourselves away from our personal communication (prayer) and our obedience to The LORD’s Will, which is HIS WORD!

We are babes for a season but after that we are to be trained up as children are to their parents and to listen and obey.  If we as children didn’t obey our parents we were disciplined.  That discipline proves the Love of the Father to His children!

The process of becoming lazy and not developing our own relationship with The LORD, can open us up to deception, error, and extreme teaching.

We must learn to develop a dependence on God’s Word as we develop in our prayer life and steady diet of the WORD of God.  It is the easy route to depend on others experiences and teachings instead of God’s.

There are many wonderful leaders and teachers out there that the WORD of God is the final authority of their belief system.  These leaders are accountable to God for those whom they must give an account.

In the same way, God knows where we are spiritually and knows when we become lax and rebel.

It is a very dangerous thing to fall into the hands of the living God especially for those who are leading God’s sheep astray!  There is a process that is dangerous and it causes us to become dull of hearing and we can become blind not being able to see the truth.

We must have such a love for The LORD Jesus Christ that goes so much deeper than any other love we have in this life, regardless if it is a person, place or thing! God is a jealous God!

Oh Glory!  To read the Bible and hear Him speak to me through those pages is the ultimate for me!  Oh, how I love God’s Word and His commands!

I know that when He corrects me, it proves His love for me!

I want God to teach me and to show me His ways and teach me His paths so that I will walk in truth!

I obey God’s words because I love HIM and my nature has been changed to where I don’t desire the things of this world that grieve His Heart.  I don’t want God to be unhappy with me!

I was given a prophetic lesson this past week.  I was feeling taken advantage of by someone that I won’t mention, and as I related this to the person of how it hurt me, God entered my thoughts and reminded me of how I take HIM for granted, when I don’t give him the attention he desires and deserves.

I am so thankful that I can know God this way and experience a close walk with Him that gives me His Peace.

This whole thing about Jesus Christ from the beginning of time till now, it is about having a real love walk, relationship with the lover of our souls.

How many of us have taken The LORD for granted?  Oh!  All I could do was weep when I heard The LORD say that I had taken Him for granted!

But regardless of the tears and pain it caused, it drove me to sorrow and to repentance, by turning my heart “deeply” back to him!

Return to The LORD with all your heart!  In fasting, weeping and mourning and rend your heart and not your garment.

We repent by turning away from what displeases God.  How do we know what displeases God?

We learn by knowing Him through prayer and by knowing and living the Word of God!  The Word of God became flesh and dwelt among us.

Just as Jesus was the Word made flesh, The LORD wants our lives to reflect His nature and character and to be measured by His Word as our plumb line to HIS whole house, which is the body of Christ.

The LORD is jealous over us, and He is very serious about that fact.  We cannot separate The LORD Jesus from the HOLY BIBLE, as they are one and in agreement.

If you do things and practice things that are not in agreement with the Word of God, it is suspect to error.

God’s Word is our only standard for Truth!  His Word is what we base all things on!

I don’t care what type of spiritual experiences and feelings you have had, if it isn’t found in God’s Word, it is suspect, and the enemy is very clever and spiritual and wants to lead you away from the truth of God’s Word.

Feelings and experiences in God can be awesome — but if our experiences aren’t found in God’s Word, we need to repent and move away from error and return to the Truth!  The BIBLE!

Deception is just that!  Deception is the gradual process of experiences, feelings, and extreme teaching that are soaked into our soul to blind us to the truth and to bring us into error.

Jesus warned us about false prophets and false teachings!  Their methods are inspired by Hell to draw us away from the Truth of God’s Word.

Deception is found and practiced in many Christian named circles and in the names of various denominations and groups.

These various groups base and use all sorts of pseudo spiritual experiences, feelings, music, expressions, extreme teachings, and error of all sorts.

The Bible is the only sure way we can be secure of anything and everything that is out there regardless of their claims.

If we cannot trust God’s Word to keep us on track, we open ourselves to all sorts of bogus claims that put God’s name on any and everything out there.

It doesn’t matter how spiritual the “feeling is” my question was, is it found in the Word of God?

Do you have people in your lives that take you for granted?

I encourage you to search your heart and see where, what, and whom our love is centered on.

Have we taken The LORD for granted?  Look to God and turn away in repentance from taking him for granted.

We must repent of our love for things of this world instead of HIM; the creature instead of the creator.  He longs for our time in prayer and intimacy.  To love HIM is to obey Him.

Jesus is the WORD and the WORD became flesh and dwelt among us!  Oh, how wonderful it is to be used to prophecy encouragement and change, but beloved, there are so many out there who want to do what God says is wrong and call it good!

I love, love, love to encourage people, but when God leads me to confront sin, it is hard on my flesh and sometimes it is hard that I have to face you, but I love God and love you enough to stand against the sin!

I know HE wants us to hear him clearly and that takes prayer, the study of the Word of God and Worshipping Him in Spirit and in Truth!  Those of you who know me well, know I love people but know I love God more.

Oh beloved, to know The LORD is so wonderful and once we truly seek, find and know him, He changes our lives being conformed into His image!

Beloved of God, we are so loved and we are in a serious time like none other, and we must remain at the door like the wise virgins, not as the foolish ones who weren’t ready to go in.

This time is unlike no other time in known history and it is very critical time, and we must pray for the ones who are deceived!

It is for God’s great love and mercy for us that he sends us warnings to get us ready.  There we be no one with Jesus that did not choose to be there.

It is your choice…. but as for me and my house?  I will serve The LORD!

“This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.
But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was.
But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience, persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all The LORD delivered me.
Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; and that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works,”   2 Timothy 3:1-17.
