The Highest Calling

Within The Church, so many concentrate on giftings, talents, and abilities.

There is such an emphasis on ‘Who’s Who’ — and who has the biggest, most thriving Church organization in the so-called, cutting-edge of what’s happening in Christendom.

Even among Religious “so-called Christ centered” organizations, and those who claim Spirit filled events and meetings have placed such emphasis on self-centeredness calling it Christ centered.

Even among those who are Pentecostals and Charismatics, this emphasis is alive and well as it is focused, rooted and steeped in religion and the traditions of men. But the root thereof is pride, and it comes in the form of self and all the self-sins.

Before anything begins, Jesus must be our beginning. Do we need Him, and are we desperate for Him?

Oh, the longer I serve Him the more I desperately need Him. He is our first Ministry. Did you get that?

The LORD, The Creator of the universe, has called us to Him as our first Ministry.

This is simple — not complicated — yet profound in meaning.

In His Word, He said He wanted the little children to come unto Him. Children are filled with wonder, they’re not prejudiced, they’re not jaded by life, because they’re innocent.

We are called the children of God and there is a good reason. The childlike soul knows they can sit on daddy’s lap and can say anything to Jesus, and that child believes everything He says because there’s no doubt or unbelief where there’s the true trust in the childlike soul.

I know in my own life The LORD has kept me childlike, innocent, and, in many ways, naïve to the things of this world.

“Then the little children were brought to Jesus for him to place his hands on them and pray for them. And the disciples rebuked those who brought them. But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them! For The Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these.”Matthew 19:13-14 BSB.

The LORD wants us to realize that he paid the price totally to come to Him like a child; the child that we are that he knows completely about.

But today dear reader, He wants you to realize that your first love and Ministry is to Him. In this world everyone wants their needs met and everyone seeks relief, but we fail to realize that there’s needs we need to meet.

The LORD seeks Fellowship, our fellowship. Have you thought that God has needs of intimacy with us that His desire is fellowship, love, and a close relationship with us?

We got all caught up petitioning quick prayers here and there, asking for things petitioning for others, but have you thought that we should put aside our needs to meet His Needs?

If you hear The Spirit’s call, come aside remembering all, and put aside all petitioning prayer and find our way back to the deep care we find in fellowship and intimacy with the presence of his company.

He delights in us, but for many He is wooing us back as the cares of this life and the confusion in The Churches that have labeled Him as some taskmaster whom we could never please.

I have heard this said, “I used to love to pray and fellowship with The LORD.” I have also heard this, “LORD, why do I always end up in this place knowing what I should do but not doing it?”

There are so many distractions, true needs, and things that must be done! Yet with all our heart LORD, you know we love you, but why are we so resistant to come aside and wait?

Yes, woo us back so we can be still to listen for your voice.

Dearly beloved of God, one of the hardest battles you will face in your life will be the enemy fighting to keep you so busy and distracted with the cares of life that must be done.

These are designed by hell to keep you powerless from the flow that he knows that comes from The LORD. Your worst enemy that lives with you daily is your flesh. You live with you 24/7.

We must realize that neglect does not feel good to us. However, the greater Revelation is neglect does not feel good to God.

With all our heart, we must come aside and realize the battle we wage is to keep us disconnected from our source of all life.

May The LORD help us find that place again where we will be quiet and still waiting on Him. We remember His Presence, and may we repent, so that we may be motivated by the love and passion that we once had for God to come aside again.

Is our prayer life a duty and obligation?

I am not speaking of intercession right now, but about the relationship with Jesus.

If we delight ourselves in The LORD, He will give us the desires of our heart and it isn’t a burden.

Do you feel like you have a mechanical relationship where you just go through the motions?

You may fast, pray, even intercede but for some reason you have lost the intimacy and the closeness you once had?

Have you lost the mutual longing of being together as you minister to each other in passionate intimacy?

The LORD delights in our fellowship, and love. Do you feel in your heart, “I’ve got a getaway, I’ve got to get back for my heart is lovesick for my LORD”?

No one, no person, place, or thing can touch that place within you and settle you…. except The LORD Almighty.

He wants us to prefer him above anything else. He delights in spending time with us.

Listen and learn to be still and know that he is God and settle your mind, take your thoughts captive, command the feeling of being hurried to get behind you.

And in all the circumstances of your life he will intervene and, in this victory, this place of intimacy you will find your soul has peace, rest, and direction giving you full relief.

Come away, no matter what time come away and still your mind, he will give you what you need for you were created first for fellowship with him.

So, draw near with a full heart of love and faith. Lock your door, don’t answer the phone, command everything to vanish that comes from people and things that distract and wait upon him alone.

This is not out of obligation or duty sprung by fear! No, stop interference, and be still and let Him speak to your heart.

No more cold prayer — no more cold or dead space. Let passion, and intimacy arise as we wait, for we cannot get enough of you LORD!

LORD, we agree, and we are asking for the anointing to break the yokes of busyness. No matter wherever it is in our lives that distracts us — regardless of if in our home, jobs, churches, neighbors, or friends.

May we not neglect our personal intimate time with our passionate lover and friend.

LORD help us to repent and turn away from what steals that intimate time away.

LORD, grant us the insight to realize that you feel neglect, and you have needs from us that need to be met.

Forgive us of our selfish petitions and how we run off not waiting on you so that we can listen. Help us all LORD to study to be quiet and work with our own hands.

And help us to understand, to be still and know that you are God.

Amen and amen!
